PWD minister to officers: Work in field to know ground realities

PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon on Tuesday said officers needed to step out of their offices and work in the field to know the ground realities and solve problems.

PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon on Tuesday said officers needed to step out of their offices and work in the field to know the ground realities and solve problems.

During a meeting of the officers at Circuit House,he took stock of the development projects in Mundian Kalan,Jamalpur and Sahnewal areas. He expressed concern over the slow speed of sewerage project in Sahnewal area and asked the officers to step up the work.

Dhillon also asked Mayor Harcharan Singh Gohlwaria and Deputy Mayor Sunita Aggarwal to speed up the cleanliness drive in the city ahead of festival season so as to give a clean and green look to the city.

He warned the officers delaying the development projects,saying all such officers would be taken to task if they failed to complete projects in time.
