PU moots revised rates for evaluating papers,exam-related duties

In A move to meet the shortage in the number of evaluators for examination papers,Panjab University authorities today proposed revised rates for paper evaluation and various others jobs pertaining to examinations- duties of flying squad and center superintendent.

In A move to meet the shortage in the number of evaluators for examination papers,Panjab University (PU) authorities today proposed revised rates for paper evaluation and various others jobs pertaining to examinations- duties of flying squad and center superintendent. As per the proposal Rs 15 will be paid to evaluators per answer sheet for under graduate courses and Rs 18 for evaluating answer sheets of post-graduate level. For evaluation of Phd thesis,evaluators will get Rs 2,000.

So far,Rs 12 was being paid for evaluating under graduate course answersheets (per paper) while the rate was Rs 14.60 for postgraduate courses. Also the rates for paper setting for undergraduate courses has been proposed to be increased to Rs 600 and to Rs 800 per question paper for post-graduate courses.

Further,the amount to be paid to Chief Coordinator for conducting the exam at the center has been proposed to be revised to Rs,4000 per exam from Rs 3,000. The examination observers would get Rs 500 per session,while earlier the income was scaled at Rs 200. For the members of the flying squad committee revised pay of Rs 500 per session for more than two centers per college and Rs 400 for less than two centers,has been proposed.
