Lashing out against the Congress and Union Minister of State Manish Tewari who alleged vandalism outside his house by BJP Yuva Morcha, the BJP on Monday claimed that their protest was not at all an act of vandalism. “We know how to behave and our workers were not engaged in hooliganism at all,” said Parveen Bansal,BJP district president at a press conference here.

On Saturday, the BJP workers had gathered outside Tewari’s house in Ludhiana and demanded food worth Rs 5,beating utensils.

“Our protest was just a satire on the mockery of the poor and poverty made by Congress leaders by issuing such statements,” said Bansal.

Alleging that despite being an MP from Ludhiana,Tewari had done nothing for the city,Bansal said,“The protest was always in its limits due to which police were not required at all.” He was reacting to district Congress president Pawan Dewan’s statement that despite repeated calls, police did not take action against BJP workers on Saturday.
