Power employee given award

Additional Superintending Engineer Raminderjit Singh,working in technical training centre of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited,has been conferred Satnam memorial award by the corporation for excellence in work.

Additional Superintending Engineer (SE) Raminderjit Singh,working in technical training centre of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL),has been conferred Satnam memorial award by the corporation for excellence in work. The award was given by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal recently.

Raminderjit has been given this award for getting 1,342 power theft cases detected in Sangrur from 2007-2011. As a result,a fine of Rs 5.88 crore was imposed on violators. As many as 428 cases of wrong metering were also detected and a fine of Rs 1.57 crore was imposed. In other 7,246 cases,a fine of Rs 14.17 crore was imposed on defaulters.
