PAU student one of only 12 in World to bag fellowship

A PhD student of the School of Agricultural Biotechnology,Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has created history by bagging the fellowship under Monsanto’s Beachell Borlaug International Scholars Programme for 2013.

A PhD student of the School of Agricultural Biotechnology,Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has created history by bagging the fellowship under Monsanto’s Beachell Borlaug International Scholars Programme for 2013.

Mitaly Bansal,is one of only 12 candidates selected from across the globe to get the fellowhip.

A budget of US $ 1,00,000 will be provided to Bansal,which includes her fellowship,tuition fee,expenses for research and travel.

PAU Vice-Chancellor,Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon congratulated her.

“The scholarship further encourages me to work harder,” said Bansal,who has also been invited to attend a three-day Leadership Course and the World Food Prize Ceremony in Des Moines,Iowa,USA.
