Fauja Singh, the world’s oldest marathon runner, on Thursday expressed concern over the growing drug menace in Punjab.
“Youth of Punjab is drowning in drugs and my heart pains to see that,” he said.

The Turbaned Tornado, 103, said that while he had retired as a marathon runner, he would continue to inspire youngsters for fitness and running. He signed his biography Turbaned Tornado for the readers and fans who came in large numbers to meet him.

Fauja was elated to see the special cake which was modelled as per details of his face. While cutting the cake at Hot Breads, he said, “Whenever I visit Ludhiana, I see the number of vehicles increasing. Development is good but Ludhiana needs to control its pollution level.”
