We expect other candidates to come in the weeks to follow.”Jaswant Jheerakh, general secretary of Maha Sabha, said, “We have sent them our agenda so that the candidates must have a fare idea about our programme.”
The NGO has appealed to people from all walks of life to be part of this discussion. The main issues which will be raised before the candidates will be: plan of the party to tackle the problem of unemployment, poverty, law and order problem, how to tackle the rising inflation, drug menace, whether there should be a retirement age for the politicians and so on. Col Brar said, “Public has the right to ask the candidates these questions before casting their votes.”
