Ludhiana colleges shine at PU sports competition

The inter-college sports meet held at the Panjab University,Chandigarh saw sportspersons from Ludhiana colleges bagging top ranks in various events.

The inter-college sports meet held at the Panjab University,Chandigarh saw sportspersons from Ludhiana colleges bagging top ranks in various events.

Chess teams from SCD Government College secured top position in inter-college chess tournament. While girls secured first position,boys bagged the second position in chess event.

After 16 medals in swimming by Kawalpreet Kaur of Government College for Girls,it was Arshpreet Kaur Grewal a student of PGDCA of Kamla Lohtia SD College who has set the pool on fire.

She bagged 12 silver and one 1 bronze during the PU inter-college Swimming competition.

The Government College for Girls team also won the PU inter-college kho-kho championship.

In the final match,Government College for Girls Ludhiana defeated Dev Samaj College for Women,Chandigarh by 5-0.

The cross country team of Guru Nanak Girls College,won the Panjab University Inter College Cross Country (Women) Championship and retained the title for the second year. The team of Ramandeep Kaur,Prabhveer Kaur,Kulwant Kaur and Shivdeep Kaur will now represent college at All India Inter-university Cross Country Championship to be held in Udaipur,Rajasthan.
