Labourer’s murder case solved,2 held

Police arrested two accused,Prem Lal and his accomplice Ramjit,who have confessed to their crime.

The Focal Point police on Thursday solved the murder case of a labourer. As per the police,the victim had illicit relations with a woman whose husband killed him.

The police arrested two accused,Prem Lal and his accomplice Ramjit,who have confessed to their crime. The police also recovered the weapons used in the crime.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) city-2 Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said on December 30,Keshav Kumar of Mukand Nagar at Daba road was found murdered outside the door of labourers’ quarters.

“The police investigation found that Keshav had illicit relations with a woman of the same locality. The police found that the woman’s husband Prem Lal killed him,” said the ADCP. “He also told the police that his friend Ramjit was also involved.”

Lal told the police that they had strangled Keshav with a sash and had thrown his body outside the gate of the labourers’ quarters after he “found his wife in a compromising position with his wife”.
