Shahsi Kala Jain,Deputy General Manager has joined as Regional Head of Oriental Bank of Commerce at Ludhiana. Previously she was posted as the assistant general manager at the bank’s corporate office in Gurgaon. She has informed that the Ludhiana region,with 64 branches and 36 ATMs,will provide quality services with latest technology by offering Anywhere Banking,Internet Banking both Retail and Corporate,International Debit Card,SMS alerts,Income Tax payment through ATMs to its customers and has started Credit / Debit Card Capturing ( POS machines ) business at merchants locations. Jain said the bank has a total business of 7,225 crore in the region,comprising of Ludhiana and Moga districts.
In the Ludhiana region,the bank is working towards achieving 100 per cent financial inclusion in 36 villages ( 27 in Moga dist and 9 in Ludhiana dist),Jain said before adding that the bank is also encouraging low cost housing finance in implementing the government policies. The bank is giving special emphasis and extending various services to the NRIs from this belt,she said.
