The iris is in full bloom now. Look at the curious shape of the bloom and it is for this character that it is also called Flag flower. It gives best effect when planted in a group form, near a lily pond. It grows equally well in shade conditions. The petals come in an attractive combination of blue, yellow and white. * Will this rain affect my mango? Can we take any preventive measure to save it?
Mahesh Kumar,Chandigarh
Don’t worry, the rain is not that heavy to affect mango crop. The flowers at most of the places are either opening or about to open. Such weather does discourage the pollinators but the offence is not that much to cause any permanent damage.

You will have to repeat the spraying as both the chemicals are contact chemicals and get washed.
