Health team inspects Tyre Market,Transport Nagar,Samrala Chowk

In the inspection,the team found water collected in open used tyres which later become the breeding ground for malaria mosquitoes.

WITH the commencement of the monsoon season,a district health team inspected the Tyre Market,Transport Nagar and Samrala Chowk on Sunday.

In the inspection,the team found water collected in open used tyres which later become the breeding ground for malaria mosquitoes.

The team,led by district heath officer Dr Avinash Kumar,also found stagnant water in front of shops and vacant plots. “We issued warnings to shopkeepers and told them not to let water accumulate anywhere. They were also told to clean the tyres daily,” said Kumar.

The team also visited Transport Nagar and Samrala Chowk where they found water accumulated in tyres like last year.
