Former MP Khalsa joins AAP

Khalsa won the Lok Sabha polls from Sangrur in 1989 on the ticket of Simranjit Singh Mann’s then party- Shiromani Akali Dal (Panthik).

The former Member of Parliament Rajdev Singh Khalsa joined the Aam Aadmi Party at Barnala on Monday. He joined the AAP in the presence of senior AAP leader and Dakha candidate HS Phoolka. Phoolka, accompanied by AAP Barnala candidate Meet Hayer, visited Khalsa’s residence and welcomed him to the party.

Khalsa won the Lok Sabha polls from Sangrur in 1989 on the ticket of Simranjit Singh Mann’s then party- Shiromani Akali Dal (Panthik). In 2015, he joined the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, a wing of the RSS, but left it in April 2016. A 65-year old advocate based in Barnala, he announced that he will put in all efforts to make the AAP victorious in the coming polls.
