Five members of Kabaria gang held

Ludhiana police has nabbed five members of the Jatinder Kumar alias Neela Kabaria gang,and recovered 12 live cartridges,one country-made pistol,two .315 bore guns from them.

In a major breakthrough,the Ludhiana police has nabbed five members of the Jatinder Kumar alias Neela Kabaria gang,and recovered 12 live cartridges,one country-made pistol,two .315 bore guns from them.

Those arrested are Jatinder Kumar alias Neela Kabari,a resident of Moga,Ajay Sharma alias Pandit,a resident of Guru Arjan Dev Nagar in Ludhiana,Harjit Singh alias Soni,a resident of Akalsar Moga,Aman Gaba alias Chintu,a resident of Moga,and Simranpreet Singh,a resident of Ludhiana. They have been booked under sections 307,148,149 of the IPC and sections 25/54/59 of the Armas Act.

ADCP-1 Manjeet Singh Dhesi along with ACP (North) Swapan Sharma said,”Late Monday night,Amandeep Singh Brar,SHO division number 4,received a tip-off that some boys were roaming around in a white Safari in Chander Nagar area. Brar sent Satnam Singh,incharge of Jagatpuri police station,along with adequate force to the area.”

“Satnam Singh tried to stop the SUV but the accused accelerated the speed and tried to flee. The vehicle hit into a wall. Seeing the boys cornered,the police succeeding in nabbing them. The entire incident happened about 2.35 in the night,” said Dhesi.

The police said the gang members accepted supari for things like beating up people or breaking their bones.

Around 11 cases of loot,attempt to murder and fights are pending against the gang in Moga town alone. The gang belongs to Moga and had been hiding in Ludhiana after they shot dead a fellow gangster,Kaku,last year.
