The slum dwellers on Thursday staged a protest outside Sarabha Nagar police station for inaction in the death of 10-year-old Neha who had died after falling into an over 10-foot deep pit. Following the protest, police registered an FIR against the JCB driver who had dug this pit but did not name him in the FIR.

However, the private company,A2Z,has been spared in the case. The company is picking garbage from various dumping points and one such point was at the back of Orient cinema where slum dwellers were also living a little distance away. The slum dwellers are learnt to have demanded compensation from the company.

The pit was reportedly dug to clear waterlogging on the vacant piece of land full of garbage. The MC team has not given its inquiry report as of now.
