The Police and the industries should work together on security issues. In a city like Ludhiana where the majority of factory workers are migrants from other states,it become even more important that the Police-Industry coordination should be very strong, any new employee or workers hired should be verified first for his past record ,for this the concern Police Station in charge should be involved to get the his or her details, this will surly help in controlling crime,as in the past there were many cases ,where hard core criminals were hiding in Ludhiana by working in factories with their changed identity.
The factory owners should also take responsibility for educating their employees/ workers on Traffic Rules and Regulations for their own and others safety, for this Police Department has already designed a Book on Road Safety Tips, which they should distribute to all their workers,he added.
Ishwar Singh also requested factory owners to install High Definition- CCTV Cameras outside their factories,so as to help the police trace the criminals in case of any accident or incidents happen outside their factories. Any kind of industrial theft whether it is small or big, should immediately be reported to the concerned police Station.
CII representatives and representatives from Police Department had earlier visited Focal Point to identify key bottlenecks .
