ACCT Academic Director Madanjit Singh said in a press conference here today that it was for the first time that Holmesglen was offering a recognised degree programme in partnership with an Indian institute, which will give the students the benefit of pursuing the first year in India and the next two years in Australia.
There are 30 seats in the course whose first year of studies will be carried out in India, which would be held at the ACCT itself, and the students would thereafter undertake the course in Australia, he said. Speaking on the recent incidents of racial attacks on Indian students in Australia,Ashutosh Joshi of SIEC Global said they were incidents of crime which generally took place in Melbourne.
It has hit our operations only marginally as the fear created through media reports had created psychological impact but in terms of number there was no much difference as regards the number of students aspiring to go to Australia for further studies, he said.
