What do you plan to do to make policing more effective in Khanna?
I believe in professional policing and will try my best to get my policemen to be more high-tech. Accountability and sincerity will be my priority. Community policing will be encouraged. Suggestions are welcome from the public.

What steps are being taken to check drug abuse in the district?
We have identified drug smugglers in the area. The accused involved in drug trade will be dealt with strictly. We have had meetings with local chemists and appealed to them to stop their fellow chemists who sell drugs which are used as intoxicants. Thankfully,we are getting an encouraging response.

How do you plan to control traffic in the town?
We have initiated a drive to remove encroachments on the GT Road. The traffic police staff is being activated and will be deployed in all parts of the town.

Crime by migrant labourers is on the rise. What is the police department doing?
Patrolling has been intensified during the night. A drive to register migrant labourers is on. We are collecting the bio-data of immigrants and cross-check it from their native places.

We have also asked local residents to furnish updated details of their temporary employees and domestic helps from time to time.

What are you doing to increase the strength of the police force in the district which is far less then it was in 1992 when Khanna police district was formed?
The process of increasing strength has been started at the department level. We have already written to the department for the required strength. We have also written to the department to improve the infrastructure of the police stations.
