45-year-old man found murdered

Hukam Chand was living in a rented accommodation in Ghumar Mandi and was employed for renovating the clinic of homeopath Dr Lalit Sood.

Hukam Chand,a 45-year-old mason,was found dead in an under-construction building near the Municipal Corporation Zone A office on Thursday. Hukam Chand was living in a rented accommodation in Ghumar Mandi and was employed for renovating the clinic of homeopath Dr Lalit Sood.

Dr Sood saw the body in the afternoon in the basement of the building and informed the police about this incident.

The doctor had come to see the progress of the work.

Inspector Surinder Mohan,SHO at police station division number 1,said the police found two empty glasses of tea near the body. The killer appeared to be known to the mason and they had tea together.

Asserting that Hukam was killed by thrashing his head with a blunt weapon,the SHO said the victim was last seen at 4 pm on Wednesday by a tea stall owner. The tea stall owner said Hukum had taken two glasses of tea from him. After that,he did not see Hukam.

Police have registered a case. While investigating the matter,police officials found that the victim was wearing underwears meant for women and had a hairstyle suited for women.
