Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Sunday directed the administration and the police officials to conduct a verification drive to identify illegal intruders—especially Bangladeshis— living in the state and also collect information about their activities.

The chief minister was interacting with the district officials through video-conferencing from Lucknow regarding law and order and preparations for the Diwali and Chhath puja. According to a press communique from the government, the chief minister CM aid illegal intruders were threat for law and order.

According to sources, CM said that involvement of Bangladeshis had surfaced in recent incidents of loot and burglery in the state capital. Sources said that Adityanath expressed displeasure over the reports that Bangaldeshis were living near a police station but the staff did not bother to conduct their verification. ENS
