UP to showcase RSBY efforts for other states

For this purpose,the Government of India and UP government will organise a regional workshop on Rastriya Swastha Bima Yojana at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the state capital on June 7.

The “best practices” adopted by the UP government in implementation of Rastriya Swastha Bima Yojana (RSBY) will be showcased for other states of the country.

For this purpose,the Government of India and UP government will organise a regional workshop on Rastriya Swastha Bima Yojana at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the state capital on June 7.

“Representatives from states like Jammu and Kashmir,Uttarakhand,Bihar,West Bengal,Chhattisgarh have already given their consent to be part of the workshop. In the day-long workshop,our officers will present their best practices adopted to improve implementation of the scheme,” said Alok Kumar,CEO of RSBY. The workshop will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

Recently,the UP government was awarded as the most “improved state” by GoI in implementation of the scheme.
