Amending the rules of the unemployment allowance scheme,the state government has dropped the requirement of income certificate of parents of candidates seeking the allowance.

Lucknow: Amending the rules of the unemployment allowance scheme,the state government has dropped the requirement of income certificate of parents of candidates seeking the allowance. The government has also decided to allow the candidates to submit residential address issued by the tehsildar rather than the domicile certificate from the Revenue department,which was made mandatory earlier. Those eligible for the allowance are those who submitted their application by April 15.

According to a press release issued by the state government today,the applicants were facing problem in submitting the income certificate of their parents with the latter residing in different districts.

Four of family
killed in accident

Lucknow: Four members of a family were killed and six seriously injured when the SUV in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Bijnore district on Saturday. The victims,all from Uttarakhand,met with the accident on Dhampur road near village Puraini under Nagina police station area,police said.

Ahead of the civic polls in the state,police conduct a special checking drive in Lucknow on Saturday. Meanwhile,senior BJP leaders are all set to start campaign for party candidates. Former CM Rajnath Singh and Kalraj Mishra will campaign in Lucknow on Sunday. Vinay Katiyar will campaign in Faizabad and Ambedkar Nagar. Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi will campaign in Meerut on Monday.
