The body of a 17-year-old boy,who is the son a UP Police constable,was found alongside railway tracks in Utraon area of the district on Wednesday. The constable has accused the family members of a girl,a distant relative with whom Neelesh was said to be in love,of hacking him to death and then throwing his body near the tracks. No arrests have been made so far.
Superintendent of Police (Trans-Ganga),J P Pandey said: So far,there is no concrete evidence to say how the boy died. The post-mortem report is awaited. A case of murder has been registered.
In his complaint,Dinesh Yadav,a resident of Bansi Ka Pura,said his son,Neelesh Yadav,had left house around 10 p.m. on Tuesday with Manoj Yadav,one of the five brothers of the girl in question,for the latters house in Paharpur village under Utraon police station area. Next morning,he came to know about his sons murder. The spot where Neelesh body was found was not very far from the house where the alleged murder took place,alleged Dinesh.
Neelesh had come to know the girl during his visits to Manojs house,where his cousin sister had been married to Santosh,one of Manojs brothers.
The accused have,however,denied their involvement. Their claim is that Neelesh was allowed to leave around 11 p.m. after being warned that his father would be informed. They claimed he had sneaked into the house in the night and was caught with the girl, said Station Officer (Utraon),Inspector Nihal Singh. They were being interrogated further.
