Admissions to 5,825 postgraduate seats at Lucknow University will begin from Monday,LU vice-chancellor Dr S B Nimse announced Friday.
Giving the details,LU admission coordinator Prof N K Khare said,The online registration for postgraduate seats would begin from June 24 and go on till July 10,while the submission of registration fee will be between June 25 and July 12 and the submission of applications would be from June 26 to July 14.
He also said that upon successful registration,a candidate would have to complete the entire process within six days.
The registration fee is Rs 400 for SC/ST candidates and Rs 800 for general and OBC candidates. From a total of 5,825 seats for 127 postgraduate courses,Faculty of Arts has the maximum seats at 4,221,followed by Faculty of Science (814),Faculty of Law (470 ) and Faculty of Commerce (320).
With the undergraduate admissions closing Thursday,Khare said the university will be introducing online counselling this year,making the entire admission process online for the first time.
Apart from instructions in written form,an audio-visual presentation would also be uploaded on the university website to guide students on how to go about it, he said,adding that the undergraduate counselling would begin after June 25.
For those with a mismatch in their mark-sheets which we found upon verification with their respective boards we will open a one-day window each for registration,fee submission,and uploading of completed application beginning June 23, he said.
Khare said that the university is hopeful of informing the undergraduate applicants about the confirmation of their seat beginning July 1 and that they will be asked to report to their respective faculty on July 16.
