Parveen Azad, wife of slain Kunda DSP Ziaul Haque,on Wednesday filed an application in the CBI court, seeking a copy of the agencys closure report and other documents related to her husbands murder case.
The court has ordered to provide her the copies of the documents and fixed August 23 as the next date of hearing.
CBI advocate J Ansari said that on the courts direction, while some documents have been provided to Parveen, others will be given to her at the time of the next hearing.
In her application,Parveen had stated that she wanted to file a protest application against the CBIs closure report and needed documents to study the investigation carried out by the agency.
On August 1,the CBI had filed a closure report in the DSPs murder case, giving clean chit to former minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya and his aides, citing want of evidence.
The final report was filed against the FIR lodged on Parveens complaint, naming Raja Bhaiya and his aides as the accused. The agency had already filed the chargesheet against 14 people in the same case on another FIR lodged on the complaint of the then station officer of Hathigawan police station.
DSP Haque was killed on March 2 in Balipur village of Pratapgarh district when he had gone to investigate into the murder of village pradhan Nanhe Yadav. Pradhans brother Suresh Yadav was also killed the same night.
