In BJP’s booklet of Maya raj — 7,800 rapes,6.6 lakh crimes

The Bharatiya Janata Party today released a 19-page booklet carrying details of alleged criminal and corruption incidents that took place in the last five years of Bahujan Samaj Party regime.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today released a 19-page booklet carrying details of alleged criminal and corruption incidents that took place in the last five years of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) regime.

Releasing the booklet titled —’Mayawati sarkar ke kushashan ka kachcha-chittha’ (details of bad-governance of Mayawati government) — state party president Surya Pratap Shahi alleged that 7,875 incidents of rape occurred in the state from 2007 to 2011. He alleged that around 41,000 incidents of crime occurred in the state capital Lucknow and around 6.66 lakh such incidents across the state from 2007 to 2010.

The party alleged that bureaucracy has been politicised and civil servants were insulted in the BSP government. “A DIG was declared mentally unstable when he spoke against the corruption prevailing in the department,” Shahi said.

Shahi said that it was for the first time that a state chief minister has earned assets worth several crores without doing any business or agriculture work. Also,for the first time a former cabinet minister,Babu Singh Kushwaha,apprehended life threat from another minister,cabinet secretary and principal secretary,Home.

The BJP said that Mayawati also stopped the practice of meeting public in “Janata Darbar”. “It has also happened for the first time that a chief minister erected her own statues at the cost of government exchequer,” Shahi said.

The BJP also alleged corruption in land allotment in Noida,privatisation of sugar mills and purchase of electricity. According to the BJP,the BSP chief owns a commercial centre worth Rs 15.5 crore in Okhla and Mayawati was also getting a bungalow as well as a helipad constructed in her village Badalpur,near Ghaziabad.

Shahi appealed to the voters not to vote in favour of the BSP after seeing the details of alleged crime and corruption released by the BJP.
