The Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow (IIM-L) and Singapore Management University (SMU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday to mutually support each other in the pursuit of excellence in global business education. Aspects of the MoU include exploring the possibility of developing a dual certification programme which would lead to certifications from both SMU and the IIM-L.
The MoU was signed by Professor Rajendra Srivastava,provost and deputy president,SMU and IIM-L director Dr Devi Singh,at the institutes campus. As per an official statement,IIM-L and SMU will closely collaborate for research,executive education programmes and faculty and student exchange programmes.
Collaborative case studies would also be developed which would then be used for teaching purpose and to design and deliver faculty workshops.
The two institutes will also explore the possibility of jointly designing,developing and delivering executive education programmes in specific areas of interest to both the institutions.
Counselling for medical post-grad entrance exam postponed sine die
The second round of counselling for Uttar Pradesh Post-graduate Medical Entrance Examination 2013 was postponed on Monday in view of a case pending regarding the admissions for post-graduate medical seats in the Supreme Court,said director general,medical education,Dr K K Gupta.
The decision,on whether the counseling would resume on Tuesday,Wednesday or further postponed,will be taken depending on the decision taken by the counseling board after the final verdict on the case is delivered,he said.
