Firozabad: Three cops booked for raping minor

A former station officer and two police constables have been booked for raping a minor girl in Firozabad.

A former station officer (SO) and two police constables have been booked for raping a minor girl in Firozabad in 2012.

The case on rape charges has been lodged at Rasoolpur police station in the district on Thursday on court’s direction.

The accused, Shriprakash Yadav, was then posted as SO of the Rasoolpur police station and two constables Raghuraj and Sheesh Kumar too were posted there. No arrest has been made so far.

The complainant in the case is victim’s mother.

Sriprakash Yadav is presently posted as SO of Sirsaganj police station in Firozabad while Sheesh Kumar is also posted in the same district. Another constable, Raghuraj, is now posted in Agra district.

The police said the complainant alleged that on December 11, 2012, a police team led by then SO Shriprakash Yadav came to the victim’s house and misbehaved with her and her husband and children. They also forcibly brought them to the police station. The complainant’s husband was booked for carrying five kg charas and was produced in court that sent him to jail.

The complainant alleged that the same night, the policemen took her daughter, then 16-year-old, to the SO’s residence on the police station campus where she was raped by him and the two constables.
