Family found murdered inside their house

Police said the murders appear to have been committed on Monday night.

A 35-year-old mechanic,his wife and their child were found brutally murdered inside their rented house in Madiaon area of Lucknow on Wednesday. Police said the murders appear to have been committed on Monday night.

Police said Guddu,his wife Sheela and son Tarun (5) had been living in the one-room house in Prabhatpuram locality of Madiaon for more than five years. They belonged to Khairabad area of Sitapur.

According to police,Guddu used to work as a mechanic while his wife used to sew clothes at home. Neighbours told the police that the family was last seen working on Monday evening.

Guddu’s landlord Qutubuddin informed the police on Wednesday afternoon after he found foul odour emanating from the house. Police found the three mutilated bodies lying inside the room.

Additional SP (Trans-Gomti) Habibul Hasan said all three victims were hit with a stone,used for making chutney,on their heads. He said the police have recovered the stone. There were no signs of robbery and the murders appear to have been committed because of enmity,the ASP added.

Hasan said the murderer appears to have been known to the victims and could have come to stay with them on Monday night as no one heard any sound on the night the murders appear to have been committed. He said details of the victim’s background were being gathered from their native village.
