Cops outsmart kidnappers,16-year-old returns home

A 16-year-old boy,who was kidnapped on Thursday,returned home on Friday after the police hoodwinked the kidnappers.

A 16-year-old boy,who was kidnapped on Thursday,returned home on Friday after the police hoodwinked the kidnappers.

Ayush,a class XI student and resident of Thakurganj in Lucknow,had gone for a haircut on Thursday evening near his home when he was kidnapped.

His family received a ransom call of Rs 10 lakh and reported the matter to the police.

It was decided that Ayush’s brother will take the money in a bag and hand it over to the kidnappers while the police will be monitoring the situation.

On Friday,as the bag was dropped at a pre-decided place,and the boy was released at the same time,the police recovered the bag before the kidnappers could do so. “Efforts are now on to trace the kidnappers,” said Brijesh Kumar Pandey,SO Chowk,said.
