BSP state president booked in DA case

The Vigilance Establishment on Wednesday lodged an FIR against BSP state president Ram Achal Rajbhar for allegedly amassing wealth disproportionate to his known source of income,at Akbarpur police station in Ambedkar Nagar district.

The Vigilance Establishment on Wednesday lodged an FIR against BSP state president Ram Achal Rajbhar for allegedly amassing wealth disproportionate to his known source of income,at Akbarpur police station in Ambedkar Nagar district.

The UP government had ordered an enquiry by Vigilance against Rajbhar following a recommendation of the Lokayukta.

Siyaram,an inspector with Vigilance Faizabad sector and investigating officer in the case,lodged the FIR under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and IPC section 193 (punishment for false evidence) alleging that Rajbhar has been found to have collected huge assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

The documents produced by Rajbhar before the investigating agency to corroborate his sources of income have also been found fabricated,alleged the FIR. The case has been registered following a preliminary enquiry by the vigilance,said the IO in the FIR.
