Briefly State: New infrastructure policy on anvil

A new infrastructure,industrial and service area investment policy is on the anvil in the state.

Lucknow: A new infrastructure,industrial and service area investment policy is on the anvil in the state. The UP government is preparing a new infrastructure,industrial and service area investment policy policy-2012 in which attempts would be made to open more industries in the state,it said in its reply to the Assembly.

“At present industrial and service area investment policy 2004 is in force”,minister S P Yadav said. When the member sought to know whether there was any policy to attract industries which migrated to other states,Parliamentary Affairs minister Azam Khan said that there was no such policy at present.

No fund shortage for Maha Kumbh: Govt

Lucknow: The state government on Thursday promised that there would be no dearth of funds in organising Mahakumbh in Allahabad early next year. Parliamentary Affairs minister Azam Khan informed the Assembly that this time the administration was making efforts to make as many permanent structures as possible at the Mahakumbh ground.

He said a new experiment was being made to install stainless steel water tanks instead of sub-standard concrete structures.
