Australian envoy calls on CM

Australian High Commissioner Peter Varghese on Friday paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and expressed interest in cooperation and technology tranfer between his country and the state for river cleaning,energy sector and agriculture.

Australian High Commissioner Peter Varghese on Friday paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and expressed interest in cooperation and technology tranfer between his country and the state for river cleaning,energy sector and agriculture.

Varghese called on Akhilesh,who was in the national capital on Friday,and invited him for a seminar to be held in Melbourne in October.

“During the meeting,the Australian envoy said his country could coordinate with UP institutes like IIT Kanpur and work on improving the quality of water of rivers in the state. e also discussed proposals for technology transfer between Australia and the state in the field of energy,solar energy,agriculture and agricultural research,” the UP government said.
