CPM general secretary Prakash Karat said that a pre-poll alliance of non-Congress and non-BJP parties with Left parties is being worked out separately in different states for the Lok Sabha polls. In Rajasthan,CPI and CPM along with Samajwadi Party and Janata Dal (Secular) have tied up for contesting the Lok Sabha polls. He also stated that the matter will be discussed with Mulayam Singh in Delhi soon. “We have given a platform with alternative policies on July 1 for all like-minded parties to come together for forging a non-Congress and non-BJP alliance before Lok Sabha polls. Let us see who accepts it,” Karat stated.
