The Allahabad University Tuesday expelled a second year BA student within 24 hours of receiving a complaint of alleged molestation from a woman student. The university also got an FIR lodged against him. The alleged incident occurred on the campus on Monday afternoon.

Allahabad University’s chief proctor, Professor Ram Sevak Dubey, told The Indian Express, “The girl came to my office on Tuesday and filed a complaint alleging that on Monday afternoon, when she was leaving the university campus from a gate close to the Ancient Indian History faculty, Satyam passed obscene remarks at her and also molested her.

She said that when she objected, the accused entered into an argument with her before escaping.”
