BJPs Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modis aide Amit Shah will begin a state-wide tour from October 2 to monitor preparations of Modis first three rallies in the state.
Modis first rally in Kanpur has been rescheduled to October 19,his second in Jhansi October 25 and third in Bahraich on November 8.
Shah will hold a meeting with RSS office-bearers in Mathura on October 2 and discuss changes in the social and political scenario in western UP after Muzaffarnagar riots,sources said. He has also called state co in-charge Satyendra Kushwaha,Rameshwar Chaurasiya and state president Laxmikant Bajpai and other prominent leaders from Kanpur to attend the meeting.
Sources said the Bareilly meeting will focus on organisational strengthening. Shah will hold meetings with leaders of 16 districts of Braj and Bareilly regions. Meeting will be held at Bareilly where party lost the 2009 Lok Sabha elections after winning for six consecutive times. A special focus will be given on that region as party is expecting a revival due to possibilities of change in social and political equations after riots in Muzaffarnagar, a party leader said.
Activities of booth committees of these 16 districts will be discussed. Probable date of Modis rally in Bareilly could also be announced in that meeting, sources said.
