40 days in chair,Akhilesh says hard to make officers,politicians work

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said it was very tough to make officers and politicians work,but his government was committed to fulfilling the expectations of people.

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said it was very tough to make officers and politicians work,but his government was committed to fulfilling the expectations of people.

“Only about 40 days have passed (since the government’s formation),not even two months have been completed,and I know how hard it is to get work done by officers and politicians,” Yadav said.

“But I once again want to assure the people that we will fulfill their expectations,for which the people had given the mandate to the party” he said.

Yadav said that the government had a lot to do and the coming budget will be one of the first steps towards fulfilling the expectations of people.

Yadav was speaking at the launch of former IAS officer Jai Shankar Mishra’s book “Bas Yahi Swapna,Bas Yahi Lagan”. A music album titled “Rajnigandha” based on Mishra’s poems was also released by Yadav and Urban Development Minister Azam Khan. Mishra is father of former IIM Ahmedabad professor and Minister of State for Protocol Abhishek Mishra.

Talking about Abhishek Mishra’s entry into entry into politics,Yadav said he was himself brought into politics by senior politicians and he brought Abhishek along with him. He said everyone wants corruption in politics to end and the entry of young and educated people can give politics a new direction.

The function was also attended by Transport Minister Mahendra Aridaman Singh,Jail Minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya,Revenue Minister Ambika Chaudhary,Minister of State for Rural Development Arvind Singh Gope,and classical vocalist Ustad Rashid Khan who has sung the songs in the music album.
