Three more held for betting during IPL final

Working on a tip-off,police arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in cricket betting during the IPL final at Eden Gardens on Sunday.

Working on a tip-off,police arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in cricket betting during the IPL final at Eden Gardens on Sunday. Pawan Agarwal was held at Baguihati,while Aditya Damani and Raj Sharma were held from Burrabazar. They worked for different betting rackets,sources said.

Ganguly to get land for school at half price

The state cabinet on Monday decided to reduce the price of the 2-acre land allotted to former India captain Saurav Ganguly in New Town area where Ganguly will build a school. “While the market price was Rs 10 crore,after receiving an application from him,we are now charging Rs 5 crore,” Firhad Hakim,Minister for Urban Development,told The Indian Express.
