Artistes who are considered close to the Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday blamed the Left Front government for the Maoists’ raid of Silda camp in which 24 personnel of EFR were gunned down.

“We don’t think the state government is taking adequate steps to actually

solve the problem. Merely sending joint forces to the region will not solve the issue,” said Arpita Ghosh, who called for initiating dialogue with the Maoists.

“There can be no solution through violence. So many people are dying and these incidents are happening in places where there are innocent people,” added stage personality Saonli Mitra.
