PM to visit city today

Security has been tightened in Kolkata on the eve of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to the city on Saturday.

Security has been tightened in Kolkata on the eve of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to the city on Saturday. According to sources,Singh will arrive in the city at 10.30 am. He will visit Bose Institute where he will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the institute’s second campus. Later,he will visit Calcutta University where he will speak at a programme of Indian Science Congress. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to remain present at the Calcutta University programme. The Prime Minister will leave for Delhi at 1.35 pm.
