Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will kick off their IPL 2013 campaign in kingsize style. A grand inauguration ceremony at the Salt Lake Stadium on April 2 will mark the defending champion’s quest for the consecutive attempt to trophy.

“To ensured that fans get full value of their money, the opening ceremony will be a marriage between the Hollywood style and Bollywood smile with Jennifer Lopez playing the role of a show-stopper,” an official of Red Chillies Entertainments, which is organising the opening show, said. Also, talks are on with pop singing sensation Katy Perry.

And there’s more good news for the fans. The franchise has announced that their ticket prices will remain unchanged for this year’s tournament. Tickets were priced between Rs 300 and 9,000 last year.

“The unchanged prices is a small way of thanking our fans and in line with KKR’s commitment of giving everyone an opportunity to watch their favourite team in action,” KKR CEO Venky Mysore said.
