Mamata Banerjee visits ailing Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee at his house

While leaving Bhattacharjee’s residence in the evening, Mamata said: “I had come here to visit him. I wished him speedy recovery. He asked me to sit. He wants to undergo treatment at home. However, I have spoken to his wife and assured her that we will provide all possible help.”

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited her ailing predecessor and veteran CPM leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee at his Palm Avenue residence in Kolkata on Monday, and assured him of all help on behalf of the state government. Bhattacharjee, who was the chief minister of West Bengal from 2000 to 2011, has been suffering from respiratory problems, and is undergoing treatment at his house.
