The West Bengal Board of Higher Secondary Council, which had to change a number of examination question papers because they were leaked, has not ruled out sabotage by the CPM.

The life science paper, which was scheduled on March 29,was changed because the paper had been leaked due to callousness of board officials.

The physics paper of Class XI and Class XII,scheduled on March 14,was also changed as it was leaked.

Although board officials accepted the callousness of the officers involved in preparing the papers, they did not rule out sabotage by the Opposition party.

Muktinath Chatterjee, board president, today hinted at sabotage. He said that to avoid such incidents in future, the boards was planning to revamp the entire examination process.

The anti-government teachers’ association ruled out sabotage by the CPM. According to members of the All Bengal Teachers Association (ABTA),the HS Council nominated various outsiders in their District Advisory Committee to monitor the examination process.

Utpal Roy,ABTA secretary, said such leaks would continue if outsiders are nominated.
