CPI-ML brings out its list too

The CPI-ML has said it will contest six seats in the state. Party spokesperson Basudev Ghosh said it will field candidates in Bankura,Burdwan,Barrackpore,Darjeeling,Hooghly,Krishnagar and Raiganj.

He also declared that they were opposing the Congress-Trinamool alliance because the Congress had forsaken the cause of the farmers that led farmers to commit suicide.

Ghosh also spoke against the CPM joining the Third Front with Chandrababu Naidu,Jayalalitha,Mayawati,Naveen Patnaik and others. “What do Prakash Karat and Jayalalitha have in common that they could come together in an alliance? The Third Front has people like Naidu whose policies led to peasant suicides,AIDMK who tried to stop the peasant movement,BJD who broke away from the BJP after 11 years of alliance,” said Ghosh.
