Cong leaders join Mamata in Nadia

It was Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee’s presence in Nadia district which ultimately drew the Congress to share the dias in a show of solidarity. Banerjee addressed a rally at the Ranaghat Friends Club field on Wednesday,where Tapas Pal sang popular Bengali songs on stage,coupled with Banerjee’s political poems.

Congress leaders too were seen on stage with Banerjee. “We are ready to side up with the Trinamool and campaign for their candidates for the greater good of the state. Our leader Sonia Gandhi has asked us to wholeheartedly participate in the alliance which we will do. I call on all our workers and leaders to campaign for Tapas Pal and Sucharu Haldar,” said Ajay Dey,district congress president of Congress.
