6 fishermen injured in clash over fishing in Nadia village

Six fishermen were injured in a clash between supporters of the CPM and Trinamool Congress over catching fish in a water body in Tehatta area of Nadia district on Tuesday.

Six fishermen were injured in a clash between supporters of the CPM and Trinamool Congress over catching fish in a water body in Tehatta area of Nadia district on Tuesday. Superintendent of Police Sabyasachi Raman Mishra said,“A clash occurred between two groups of fishermen. Both groups claimed they had the right to catch fish in the water body of Sardanga village.” While local Trinamool claimed that all those injured belonged to their party,CPM termed it as a clash between fishermen and not linked to politics.
