Five days on, Punjab police fail to solve car jacking case

Two persons stole a Mercedes car from the Sector 15 market on September 1 and threw out the woman owner

Police have failed to crack the car jacking case five days after the incident took place in the Sector 15 market.

The police said they got some vital clues about the accused who are supposed to have fled to Himachal Pradesh.

“We have come clues that we cannot share at this stage, as it can hamper the investigation. We are tracing the movements of the Mercedes car, which was taken away by the accused,” said an officer, on condition of anonymity.

The police officers also said it is suspected that the accused might have fled to Himachal Pradesh on the day of the robbery, but it is not clear yet.

The officer said that they will soon trace the car and the accused as their investigation is going in the right direction.

Two unidentified persons took away a Mercedes car from the Sector 15 market on the evening of September 1 and threw the owner, Parmpreet Kaur, out of the vehicle.

She suffered injuries and was admitted to the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16.
