Youth ends life over ‘price rise’ in Ghaziabad

A 21-year-old youth committed suicide in the Loni area of Ghaziabad on Monday.

A 21-year-old youth committed suicide in the Loni area of Ghaziabad on Monday allegedly “because of the troubles that he had faced from price rise”. Bharat Tomar,who was from Varanasi,used to work at a paint factory in Loni. Police said workers at the factory found Tomar hanging from the ceiling fan in a room around 4 pm. The suicide note says: “No person is responsible for my death. The only reason is mahangai (price rise). I apologise to my family members for the pain that I am causing them.” A poilce officer said: “The body has been handed over to his family after autopsy.”
