Woman’s headless body found in Munirka sewer tank

According to police, one of the residents made a PCR call at 7.45 pm to complain about a foul smell emanating from the ground floor of the building.

A decomposed headless body of a woman, stuffed in a plastic bag, was found inside a sewer tank in a building in south Delhi’s Munirka Friday night, said police. According to police, one of the residents made a PCR call at 7.45 pm to complain about a foul smell emanating from the ground floor of the building. Additional DCP (south) Nupur Prasad said some of the residents then discovered the body inside the sewer tank. A case of murder has been registered at Vasant Vihar police station against unidentified persons.

Police are ascertaining details of tenants who have been missing for the last 10 days. The building owner and his sons who stay adjacent to the crime scene are also being questioned. Police said the woman had a tattoo on her neck. Her identity is yet to be ascertained, they added.
