Woman alleges gangrape at gunpoint in Greater Noida

A 35-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped in her Greater Noida home at gunpoint by six men who barged into her home in a bid to rob woman and her husband. The woman alleged that two men raped her after she resisted their robbery bid. They tied her husband up and locked him in a different room,while the other four robbed the house,police said.

Police said the woman’s husband lodged a complaint against six persons,and identified two of them. An FIR of gangrape has been lodged and police are on the lookout for the men.

Police said the incident took place around 2.00 am on Tuesday. The complainant alleged that six men barged into their house and threatened the couple at gunpoint.

Preliminary inquiries have revealed that the family of the two accused who were identified and the complainant had a long-standing dispute.

“We are conducting a detailed investigation. The woman has been sent for medical examination and we have detained two of the identified accused for questioning,” a police officer said.
